The display resolution indicates the number of pixels in each dimension of a mobile. Display resolution is obtained in width × height format. For example
“1024 × 768” means the width is 1024 pixels and the height is 768 pixels. It is called HD or high definition display or 720p display.
“1920 × 1080” means the width is 1920 pixels and the height is 1080 pixels. It is called FHD or Full high definition display or 1080p display.
“3840 × 2160” means the width is 3840 pixels and the height is 2160 pixels. It is called UHD or Ultra high definition display or 2160p display.
PPI or Pixels per inch indicates pixel density of the display. Higher is better. Method of obtaining PPI
- Obtain the summation of square of screen resolution
- Obtain the root of the sum obtain previously
- Now the previous value with screen size
